Chhattisgarh Scholarship portal 2020 (CG Scholarship): The government of Chhattisgarh implemented the CG Scholarship by the Social Welfare Department. The Scholarship scheme was mainly to help the students belonging to the SC, ST, OBC, and minority Students for their better Education by providing aids and grants. All the selected candidates who are pursuing 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th classes can apply for this Scheme, Students also who are pursuing postgraduate under Chhattisgarh Government can apply for this Scholarship.
The CG Scholarship by Chhattisgarh Government’s main aim is to improve the quality of education as well as to make education easily accessible to people of minorities. CG Scholarship helps the lower category candidates to achieve goals in their life. So far, more than 90,000 students have received the CG Scholarship of more than Rs. 12.42 crore by the Government of Chhattisgarh. By this year the CG Government has increased the amount 5-6 times more than passing the final year. Candidates from pre-matric and post-matric are offered an education grant every 6 months under the Shiksha Sahayon Scholarship. Also, all the selected candidates pursuing professional courses are receiving benefits and Scholarships from the CG Government under the Shiksha Protsahan scholarship.

However, the scholarship also aims to improve the quality of education and also to make education more easily accessible to people of minority students. Of all the entire seats under CG Scholarship, about 30% has been reserved for girls. The candidates eligible for the scholarship are selected based on their academic merits or depending on their family income.
